Welcome! Hello, and welcome to Planet Zot! Planet Zot Forums is a friendly online community dedicated to cartoons and animation in general. In here you will find people from all over the world discussing and sharing opinions about their favorite cartoons and everything cartoon related, and most importantly, having lots of fun!     So, now that you have registered one of the first thing you might like to do is to start playing with your davvie. The davvies are virtual dolls used as a cartoon representation of the users on the Planet Zot forums, and are often customized to resemble a specific cartoon or video game character. Click here to go to the davvie equipment panel You can also access the davvie panel by clicking on the 'Davvie' link in the menu on your left. To learn more about the davvies and the functions in the davvie equipment panel click here. Now that you've got yourself a nice, little davvie, let's start posting! But first, let's get to know those important forum rules. Here's the short version of some of the most important forum rules: 1. Keeps things within a PG-13 limit That means no excessive swearing or use of offensive or vulgar language or content 2. Be nice! That means no flaming or trolling This is a nice place, so be nice to others when posting! 3. No Spam This means making posts consisting just of nonsense. All posts must have a point and must stick to the subject that is being discussed in the topic. 4. No piracy/warez Discussions related to how and where you can find pirate or illegal material are not allowed. 5. No advertisement The only place you can discuss or advertise for other sites and forums is in your signature and in the "Cool Sites"-sticky on the Games and Computers forum. Be sure to read through the full version of the rules as well, you can find them here.     Now that you are aware of the rules you can start posting. So why don't you start by introducing yourself to community? To do so just go to the "Introductions and Absences" board and start a new topic. Try to include a little bit about yourself so that others can get to know you. For instance, you can write about what cartoons you like, or who your favorite cartoon characters are. Everyone here are really friendly, so you'll make friends in no time!     After having introduced yourself you may want to continue posting in the forum. Just browse around in the various boards and participate in topics that interest you. Make sure that you always try to be polite and that you stay on topic (meaning that you don't post things unrelated to the discussion you are participating in) when posting. Remember that the more time you spend writing a post, and the friendlier you are, the more people will want to reply to your post. Here are some popular topics to get you started: - How did you find Planet Zot? - What is the last cartoon you have seen? - What would you rate the Naruto anime? - What music are you listening to right now?     Hopefully you've found this guide useful for getting started during your first visit here on Planet Zot. But if you are still a little unsure of how things work, you can request a Guardian Angel to help you out until you feel you get the hang of this. The Guardian Angel is a program to help new users around the forum during their first week. It consists of more experienced users who volunteer for the program and are assigned to newcomers in order to help them out if they should need any help or advice.
