I personally like both artworks. Manga is really great artwork in a way I can stare at it for hours in that stilled box its in, and just observe the effects and undoubtly love it. I love the anime artwork because its coloured and you can see everyone's clothing or hair colour and just see it all come to life. So I really enjoy seeing both. Plus with anime I can actually understand the fight scenes

. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Great Escape LIFE IS A STRANGE RIDE. It takes you up, it takes you down, till your stomach is so full with knots and your heart with empty holes. There are the good times, the bad times, the times when you feel like your life is destined for pain and loneliness, the times you feel as though nothing can ruin your happiness. I happened to meet someone, who, not only felt like his fate was to suffer, but had suffered his entire life.
Stephen's Hex THE FIRST TIME I SAW STEPHEN, he painted a hex sign on my right arm, and I couldn't move my legs for three hours. The room was icy cold even though the heat in the classroom was on, and it was stiffly silent as I watched him in my frozen state. I wanted to run, run and get away, run...

While there are a lot of manga series I love (for example "Ikigami" is amazing and I think all mature readers should give it a look, it's brillaint!), I tend to enjoy anime much more. It's just a more fun experience and they tend to be better stories anyway. It's much more enjoyable to watch something with sound (music and sound effects), movement, an english dub, and colors then to read something. Plus anime can impact me a lot more then any manga ever can. it's a different experience to watch something unfold, then to read it. And while I respect and admire the abilty for a solo mangaka (with the slight help of an editor and collaborator, and sometimes the guidence of a superviser and/or producers) to come up with an entire story all his/her own, I find that when a bunch of people come together and work their hardest is when pure brilliance can come out of something. Lot's of talented people working together can really make something impressive. So that's part of the reason why I like anime a lot better then manga. There are many other smaller reasons as well.
And getting back to the main point of this post about the artwork in the two mediums, I find anime to look much better overall. While there are some amazing looking manga (Bokurano, 20th Century Boys, Pluto), I tend to find more anime that looks nicer. There's just something about watching an amazing peice of animation that looks like a work of art unfold and tell an ingenious story that gets me everytime!
ALso this is in the wrong section. It should be in the "Anime - Japanese Animation: General" in my opinion. Since this is about anime and manga, not cartoons.
